Dr. Kristin Wallace grew up both in San Jose, California and in Tauranga, New Zealand. She obtained her veterinary degree from Massey University, New Zealand in 2004 and is currently working on a Masters in Veterinary Medicine. She began her career at an equine practice in Monterey and later opened her own practice in Santa Cruz. In 2011 she gained her certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture with an equine focus. Her clientele in Santa Cruz included a wide variety of equine athletes, from Western Performance horse to Endurance specialists to Icelandics. She also provided care for many local pet goats and alpaca breeding farms.
Memberships
Dr. Wallace holds a current registration with the New Zealand Veterinary Council. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, and the American Association of Small Ruminant Practitioners.
She was an avid supporter of California's 4-H and FFA programs, a project leader for the Scotts Valley 4-H Club, and a past member of the California 4-H Animal Sciences Advisory Committee. With her kids she is a member of the Mercury Bay Pony Club. |
